Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise is a popular American singer, writer and actress who is well-known for her portrayal of Ginger Grant in the 1960s television series Gilligan's Island. Her stage career began in the 1950s, with Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. In the following years, she appeared in many Broadway productions before making it big on the national theatre space with Li'l Abner' in the year 1957. She released her album It's Too Late for Tina the following year. Louise began her journey into Hollywood playing Griselda Walden in God's little Acre, a film about drama that was released in 1958.The movie received wide acclaim as well as Louise was awarded the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. She was enrolled at Actors Studio, New York at the time, and later became Lee Strasberg's pupil. Her most memorable performance came from 1964, when she signed with CBS to play Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise had a long and successful career balancing Broadway television with Hollywood as well as portraying a more serious, as opposed to the glamour doll image she received. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. She has also appeared in SG-1 as well as Helen Magnus, but in recent years, she has made a name as a producer on a variety of famous TV shows, including Supernatural. The family she was born into moved from Essex to Toronto in the year she was born, and there she resided for her childhood and teenage years. Following her selection for the role as Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997. She is a resident of Vancouver ever from then on.
