Ky-Mani Marley was born in Falmouth Jamaica on 26th February 1976, is among the many of the most well-known and wealthy Reggae Singers. He was a member of Shottas with another singer Wyclef. Ky-Mani signed to Shang Records where he recorded his debut album in 1996 Like Father Like Son and several singles: Judge Not with Patra followed by Dear Dad" (which topped the British reggae charts) Who The Cap Fit (remix) and Sensimelia All of these contributed to his growing reputation in the new generation of reggae singers. Ky-Mani and Praswell who are members of the Fugees were joined in 1997 to create Avenue the cover version of Eddy Grant's Electric Avenue. Marley appeared in Midem (international music showcase) during its time at Miami for the first time. Marley gave a concert at the Cameo Theatre that was broadcasted live in 36 different countries. Marley found himself at the center of a bidding contest. He was signed to Gee Street/V2 Records in 1997 where he completed a collaboration with label mate P.M. Dawn who recorded the track Gotta be Movin' On Up. He is the only son of Bob Marley and his table tennis champion wife Anita Belnavis. Ky-Mani Marley is the richest Jamaican Reggae Singer.
